Indian Trail

 

This 6 bedroom, 7 bathroom, 4,900 square foot home/casita was designed to accommodate a family with six children (ages 1-12) and withstand the rigors of an active family environment. The property was built on a gently sloping (10' vertical over 200') desert lot. The clients visited the architects’ personal residence that he designed for his family, fell in love with the materials and wanted something similar. The family all swim for fitness so the 50+m lap pool was a goal for the property. o2 wanted to create a thermally efficient, low-maintenance, durable home that encouraged indoor-outdoor living and that replicated and embraced the local desert topography.
